Two questions arise from this "new political issue"
1. Is our beloved planet really getting hotter?
2. Is it MAN made?
In regard to question one.
It appears, at first glance that mother earth is getting hotter & temperatures are rising. of cause we can only really rely on fickle Living memory & so called "records". Stating the obvious, living memory along side records are very short indeed compared with the age of the earth. The most reliable data has to be at it's longest a century and no more. So if we take the period from April 1907/2007 very little has changed.
For Example: On Sunday March 31, 1907 at Noon my Granddad with the aid of a Pint of Bitter & a sextant [they had funny names for Totty in those days] gave a reading of 51.5236 degrees F.
Today: Sunday April 1. 2007 I followed suit, without the accomplishments and obtained a reading of 50.2697F.
Therefore; as there has undoubtedly a drop in temperature of 1.2539 degrees F over a period of 100 years +1day. We are well & truly heading for a new dark ice age.
This despite the industrial revolution and all it's ramifications, has had little or no effect. Since the second world war many acts of parliament have been passed to make our air cleaner. To some avail. Now the new whiz kids in the Westminster village want to tax us to keep warm and get to work. Typical bloody Labour. [new &old]. The new shiny Tatt's do not come out any better, or Ming's throng.
Wikipedia lists the following article:-
There it is: time for another heatwave.
To conclude-
The Tosser's last act before another long holiday is annotated below:
Gwyn Prosser (Dover, Labour) | Hansard source
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
(1) how many live calves were transported across Great Britain in 2006 and January 2007 in the course of being exported from the Republic of Ireland to the continent; how many of those calves were unloaded at a staging point or control post in Great Britain and given food, liquid and at least 24 hours rest; and if he will make a statement;
(2) what steps he takes to ensure that live calves that are transported from the Republic of Ireland via Larne and Great Britain to the continent are unloaded at a control post in Great Britain and given food, liquid and at least 24 hours rest; and if he will make a statement.
It Must be something to do with be a whinging Welshman, or out of place?
